Normally, cancer patients are of high acidity, high glycemic level and low oxygen level. A lot of foods which are alkaline are of high glycemic level, and foods of low glycemic level are very acidic. Seems like cancer patients don’t have much choices of foods. How can they choose foods which are alkaline and at the same time of low glycemic level? What are those food? Would it be better if they change to be vegetarian?

I believe that cancer is a fungus, caused by Candida, which is yeast. Yeast feeds off sugar, they would need to cut out sugar completely EXCEPT for this remedy I found:

you need Aluminum free baking soda, Grade B maple syrup and a stove. Take three tablespoons maple syrup and 1 tablespoon baking soda, heat on the lowest setting on the stove that you can until it starts to fiz or bubble, that means its bonded, take it off the heat and let it cool, take three teaspoons of this daily. Understand that cancer eats sugar, so the maple syrup and baking soda acts as a trojan horse tricking the cancer into thinking its getting food and then BAM it dies because the baking soda causes the body to be more alkaline…They much change everything about their diets in order for this to work. NO MORE SUGAR, NO PROCESSED FOODS< NO BREADS OR GRAINS.

Vegetables are low glycemic. I am not a cancer patient, but i am alkalinizing for health. I previously was attempting low carb, and i plan on maintaining that. Right now i eat alkalinizing fruits, but very small servings of them, spread throughout the day. There is nothing wrong with high glycemic, if you have 1/4 of a serving! As you can see, sprouted grains are slightly alkaline. Use sprouted grain bread for your sandwiches. Sprouts are your friend! Get an at home sprouter and start sprouting alfalfa, broccoli and any other sprouts you enjoy. Put them on everything! Highly alkaline, and highly condensed form of nutrients. Use high protein meat substitutes such as tempeh, soy, and whey. Use coconut oil instead of vegetable oil. For salads, use apple cider vinegar instead of vinegarette dressing. It really does take shopping at a health food store to find the products that work for both high alkaline/low carb diets, but there are MANY products that cater to that. I just got back from the health food store with some vegetable protein powder ( which actually tastes great) that i will be adding to kefir, yogurt, or whole milk (which are only slightly acidic–and after adding the powder i’m willing to gamble it may be fairly neutral) Also, make sure the water you drink is alkaline, if nothing else! The majority of what you put into your body is water, as is what remains in your body, and blood. Get mineral water, or some alkalinizing drops!

To the vegetarian comment, i have never been a vegetarian, nor have i ever considered it… until now! I don’t think i’ll go completely vegetarian, but i will definitely be reducing drastically the amount of animal protein in my diet by over half. Been doing this over a week, and i haven’t had this much energy in quite some time.

Is the asparagus listed above cooked or raw? What is the alkalinity of cooked asparagus? does alkalinity change based on cooking method? e.g. lightly stir-friend, boiled, steamed, grilled/broiled?

Has anyone associated alkaline diets and fibromialgia? Could an alkaline diet be helpful?

I have “cured” both my fibromyalgia and arthritis symptoms with an alkaline diet. My symptoms disappeared in less than a week. I’ve had these conditions for years. So the answer, at least in my case is…YES!

The 80/10/10 Diet, written by Dr. Douglas Graham, is a great resource for Alkaline diets. He takes you on an interesting discovery of how every food category has an effect on your body, and why.

It’s not exactly the sugars in fruit that causes problems in the body… it’s the fat in the bloodstream that prevents the naturally occurring insulin from transporting the sugar out of the blood and into the cells. So if you eliminate the majority of fats from your diet, you won’t have any problems eating LARGE amounts of fruit! These sugars are what feeds the body and gives us energy. Whatever we eat, the body works to transform it into sugars.

Very good info here. I love to juice, and spinach is one of my faves. The juice is very dark green and when added to carrot and apple juices, it is quite tasty. One thing, though. If the producers of this website are looking for an editor, I would love to volunteer.

Must admit I don’t understand where these concepts are coming from. Lemon juice, as an example, is pretty acidic- as much as pH 2.5- one of the most acidic foods out there I’d guess. Grab a litmus test if you want to. Is this somehow a comment in what happens when these foods are digested, you have been using the pH scale which is a scientific measure of acidity/ alkalinity though

Hi. I’m not seeing any third party scientific studies on your website. Can you point me in the right direction? I can’t imagine you could make so many claims without some sort of concrete scientific substantiation (a doctor’s opinion is not scientific substantiation)

    Thanks
